My name is Eric Thompson, owner of Thompson Construction Inc.

I grew up in Santa Cruz and began my career as a carpenter right out of high school, working for local builders. In my mid-twenties, I moved to Southern California, where I advanced from lead carpenter to project manager, running large, high-end residential projects and learning the importance of quality and attention to detail.

During that time, I earned my California General Contractor’s License and met my wife, Sarai. We later returned to Santa Cruz to raise our family.

I started Thompson Construction in 2017. What began as small remodels has grown into full custom home builds. We manage every phase of construction—from foundation to finish—to ensure consistent quality and accountability.

Every project is one I’m proud to stand behind. Santa Cruz isn’t just where we work—it’s home. Built Locally reflects our commitment to supporting local trades, suppliers, and the community we live in.
