Hi, my name is Eric Thompson, and I am the owner of Thompson Construction Inc.  I grew up in Santa Cruz and learned how to build homes right out of high school where I worked as a carpenter for a couple of excellent construction companies who taught me a lot of what I know today. I moved to Southern California in my mid-twenties where I continued to work as a lead carpenter and eventually a project manager. At a young age, I was entrusted with lead roles in extensive high-end projects. During my time in Southern California, I received my California General Contractors license. Shortly after I got my contractors license, I met my wife, Sarai. Sarai and I were married in September of 2016 and moved back to my hometown of Santa Cruz to start our life together. I feel privileged to live in Santa Cruz, and it is a community that I love being a part of. Every time I finish a project here, I feel proud of leaving our name on it. In my spare time, I love surfing, rock climbing and playing the guitar. Our company slogan “built locally,” means that we support and endorse local businesses and take pride in calling Santa Cruz our home and community.
